It has a protective inside, it sounds different if you remove it (it sounds softer with it on and louder if you remove the protection!)
It comes in a protected small box, the paper may be blent but don't worry, it's material is flexible enough so if you blend it a bit to the other side or if you leave it under some books for a while it'll be completly okay!

I am very happy with this wind bell! It was nice and secure in the box it came in with plenty of bubble wrap. Unwrapping the paper that protected the inner glass rod was a bit tricky. I like the print on the glass, it’s very cute, and the print on the paper is decent quality. The sound is nice, not as gentle or high-pitched as one might expect, but I plan to keep it safe indoors anyways.
